The Journey

“When it’s over, I want to say: all my life
I was a bride married to amazement.
I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

When it is over, I don’t want to wonder
if I have made of my life something particular, and real.
I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened,
or full of argument.

I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.

― Mary Oliver

“Let everything happen to you
Beauty and terror
Just keep going
No feeling is final”

― Rainer Maria Rilke

This journey of individuation may be initiated through the investigation of depression, anxiety, despair, relational and world conflicts, body symptoms, addictions, loss and grief, trauma, environmental despair, racism, sexism, homophobia and any other discrimination or abuse, transpersonal and ecstatic experiences, and questions related to meaning and purpose.

Dreams, mythic stories, ritual, active imagination, meditation, expressive arts, dialogue, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Process Work are some of the experiential approaches to investigate the deeper layers of the psyche. Depth psychotherapy is focused more on awareness rather than solutions, with the belief that each person’s soul/psyche has its own guidance towards the possibility of a fully realized life.

These are the principles that guide our work with individuals, couples, relationships, families, and communities.
